Description

The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Stalybridge and Huddersfield. Whilst they carry out their work, all lines between these stations are closed. Trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes, revised or diverted.

Disruption is expected until 20:00.

Customer advice:

Where possible trains will be diverted between Manchester Piccadilly / Manchester Victoria and Mirfield.

Rail replacement transport will operate as follows:

  • Manchester Piccadilly to Huddersfield every hour at XX:00, calling at Stalybridge, Mossley, Greenfield, Marsden and Slaithwaite

  • Manchester Victoria to Huddersfield every hour at XX:05, calling at Stalybridge

From Huddersfield towards Manchester:

  • Huddersfield to Manchester Piccadilly every hour at XX:00, calling at Slaithwaite, Marsden, Greenfield, Mossley and Stalybridge

You may use your ticket onboard the following services at no extra cost:

  • Any alternative TransPennine Express service between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester / Sheffield / Doncaster / Leeds

  • CrossCountry services between Sheffield and Leeds, and also between Leeds and Darlington / Newcastle

  • East Midlands Railway services between Liverpool Lime Steet / Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield

  • LNER services between York and Darlington / Newcastle / Edinburgh

  • Metrolink Trams between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Piccadilly

  • Northern services on the following routes:

    • Between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Piccadilly

    • Between Manchester Victoria and Leeds

    • Between Sheffield and Leeds

    • Between Leeds and Hull

    • Between Darlington and Eaglescliffe / Redcar Central
