Description

The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Stalybridge and Huddersfield, meaning services are unable to run in both directions between these stations.

Where possible trains will be diverted between Manchester Piccadilly / Manchester Victoria and Mirfield in both directions, however services may be delayed by up to 60 minutes, revised or cancelled at short notice.

Major disruption is expected until 10:30.

You should continue to travel as planned, however your journey may be delayed.

To help you complete your journey, rail replacement transport has been requested to run between the following locations:

  • 07:30 from Huddersfield to Manchester Piccadilly calling at Stalybridge, Mossley, Greenfield, Marsden, Slaithwaite and Manchester Piccadilly

  • 07:30 from Manchester Piccadilly to Huddersfield calling at Stalybridge, Mossley, Greenfield, Marsden, Slaithwaite and Huddersfield

  • 08:30 from Huddersfield to Manchester Piccadilly calling at Stalybridge, Mossley, Greenfield, Marsden, Slaithwaite and Manchester Piccadilly

  • 08:30 from Manchester Piccadilly to Huddersfield calling at Stalybridge, Mossley, Greenfield, Marsden, Slaithwaite and Huddersfield

  • Northern services between:

    • Manchester Victoria and Leeds in both directions

    • Dewsbury and Leeds in both directions

    • Leeds and Hull in both directions
