Description
All lines have now reopened following a points failure at Stechford. Whilst services return to normal, trains running between Birmingham International and Birmingham New Street may be cancelled, severely delayed by up to 60 minutes, or revised.
Major disruption is expected until 14:45.

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following services:
CrossCountry services between Coventry and Stafford via Birmingham New Street
Chiltern Railways services between London Marylebone and Birmingham Moor Street

Avanti West Coast services between Coventry and Stafford
If you're travelling between Coventry and Leamington Spa:
You can travel on West Midlands Railway services between Coventry and Leamington Spa at no extra cost.
If you're travelling between Birmingham New Street and Coventry:
You can travel using CrossCountry services between Birmingham New Street and Nuneaton or between Birmingham New Street and Leamington Spa, and then use West Midlands Railway services from Nuneaton or Leamington Spa towards Coventry at no extra cost.
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.
Unfortunately, any seat reservations will not be carried over to another train, but Coach B, H and L are unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them.

National Express West Midlands via any reasonable route between Birmingham International / Bloxwich and Birmingham New Street
National Express Coventry route X1 between Birmingham International and Birmingham New Street
If you're travelling from Birmingham towards Rugby and Coventry, you can use alternative London Northwestern Railway between Birmingham New Street and Stafford and change at Stafford for a service towards Rugby. From Rugby, you can change for a connection to Coventry. The same advice applies in the opposite direction.

Staff have now rectified the issue. Trains are now able to run again on all lines.
