Description

A tree on the railway at Stonegate means that all lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings may be cancelled, delayed by up to 50 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 15:30.

What's happened?

A train has struck a tree in the Stonegate area. While the train is inspected for potential damage, the line towards Hastings is blocked.

The incident train will proceed to Stonegate station at extremely slow speed with respnse staff monitoring its progress. Staff will then investigate the location of the tree strike and ensure the line is clear.

The line is currently expected to reopen by approximately 15:30.

How does this affect my journey?

Trains are unable to run from Tunbridge Wells towards Hastings. Services are currently able to run from Hastings towards Tunbridge Wells.

What should I do?

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on Southern services between Hastings and Ashford International, and on Arriva bus routes 7, 281, 402, and Stagecoach route 1066.
