Trains between London Charing Cross and Hastings
Description
A safety inspection of the track between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings means all lines are blocked. As a result, trains will be delayed or revised.
Disruption is expected until 16:00.
What's happened?
A track defect has been reported near Stonegate, on the line towards Hastings so the line is blocked until safety checks can be made. Response have arrived but further staff are needed to complete the checks and they are not able to get to the location until approximately 13:15 - 13:30.
How does this affect my journey?
Trains are unable to run between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings.
What do I need to do?
Please travel later today if you can. If not your journey will take 60 - 90 minutes longer while the line is blocked.
You can use Stagecoach route 1066 at no extra cost between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings.
Replacement buses are on the way to meet the trains currently held at Wadhurst & Stonegate, to take you onwards to Hastings. These are expected to arrive between approximately 14:00 and 14:30.
