Description

The fault on a train between Stonehaven and Aberdeen has now been resolved, allowing trains to return to normal running. As service recovers, trains running between Montrose and Aberdeen may still be revised or delayed by up to 40 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 11:30.

Scotrail customer advice:

You can use your ticket, at no additional cost, on the following services:

  • Alternative ScotRail services via any reasonable route

  • CityLink buses between Dundee and Aberdeen. Just show your valid ticket or Smart card to the driver when boarding the bus

Rail replacement transport has been requested to run as follows:

  • Departing Dundee at 09:45 / 11:00 operated by Merlin Travel and City Circle buses

  • Departing Aberdeen 09:45 operated by RS Coaches

If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
