Description

A broken down train between Stonehaven and Portlethen means the lines are blocked. As a result, trains between these stations may be cancelled, or revised.

Disruption is expected until 16:00.

LNER customer advice:

You may use your tickets at no extra cost on ScotRail services between Edinburgh and Dundee.

ScotRail customer advice:

Until 16:00, your train ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following local bus routes:

  • Scottish Citylink buses between Dundee and Aberdeen in both directions

  • Stagecoach East buses between Dundee and Arbroath in both directions

Rail replacement transport is shuttling between Aberdeen and at Dundee calling at stations.

As there is extremely limited alternative transport confirmed, passengers may wish to consider making their own arrangements.

You can use your ticket, at no additional cost, on ScotRail services via any alternative route to your destination.

If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
