Description
The Met Office have issued yellow and amber weather warnings for snow and ice which cover the London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway network. These will be in place until Friday 9 January.
Storm Goretti has been named and will bring ice, strong winds and snow to parts of England and Wales.
You are strongly advised to check your journey in full on either of the affected days, and check our Status and Disruptions page if your journey involves travel with other train operators.
Due to the nature of Storm Goretti, circumstances may change quickly and London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway are unable to guarantee you will be able to complete your journey.
Ticket restrictions have been relaxed in order for you to travel earlier or to postpone your plans, and travel on Saturday 10, Sunday 11 or Monday 12 January instead.
Please be aware that across the network, trains that do run may be delayed, cancelled or altered at late notice due to the severe weather.
Current disruptions:
Birmingham Moor Street and Tyseley
Severe weather between Birmingham Moor Street and Tyseley means that some lines are blocked. As a result trains running between Birmingham Moor Street and Whitlocks End / Dorridge may be cancelled, delayed by up to 50 minutes or revised.
