Lines have reopened following a trespasser on the railway between Sunderland and Hartlepool. Trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 35 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 12:30.

Police staff attended to this incident and have advised that the individual is now clear of the line.

How does this affect my journey?

Train services are now able to run between Sunderland and Hartlepool (in both directions). However, whilst service recovers, trains may still be subject to cancellation and delays of up to 50 minutes.
