Description

A shortage of train crew on the Thameslink route between Sutton and London Blackfriars means a reduced service will run until approximately 17:00.

Customer advice:

Thameslink services between Sutton and London Blackfriars will be reduced today, with some cancellations throughout the morning and into the afternoon.

This means you may need to leave more time to travel on an alternative service or another route.

We recommend you leave at least 30 minutes of extra time if your train is affected.

To help you complete your journey as quickly as possible, your Thameslink ticket will be accepted at no extra cost on:

  • Southern and Thameslink on any reasonable surrounding routes

  • London Underground services across London on any reasonable route

  • London Buses on any route between the Sutton or Wimbledon areas and Central London

  • London Trams between Wimbledon, Mitcham Junction and the Croydon area

  • Southeastern services between Herne Hill and London Victoria

  • South Western Railway services between Wimbledon and London Waterloo

Thameslink are doing everything they can to run as many trains as possible, but unfortunately, there is a shortage of available train drivers.

As a result, the service needs to be altered, so we're letting you know as soon as possible and putting alternative arrangements in place.
