Description

Lines have now reopened following a safety inspection of the track between Swanwick and Fareham. However, whilst service recovers, trains running between Southampton Central and Fareham may be delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 22:30.

Southern customer advice:

Trains can now run between Southampton and Fareham again. You can now travel on your booked route.

Work is being done to return to a scheduled timetable, but please continue to check journey planners and station information boards before you travel.

Some trains in the area will still be disrupted, and your journey may take up to at least 15 minutes longer than usual.

  • South Western Railway services between Southampton Central and Havant

The fault has now been fixed, and working in taking place to restore service to the booked timetable.
