Between Aberdeen / Edinburgh / Glasgow Central and Plymouth, and between Edinburgh and Cardiff Central / Penzance, and between Newcastle / York and Reading, and also between Nottingham and Birmingham New Street / Cardiff Central
Description
A fault with the signalling system between Derby and Tamworth means that trains have to run at a reduced speed on all lines. As a result, trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or diverted, not calling at Tamworth.
This is expected until 13:15.
Customer advice:
Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the two CrossCountry services operating before and after your cancelled service and with the following:
Northern services between Sheffield and Leeds
TransPennine Express services between Leeds and York
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost
Unfortunately, any seat reservations will not be carried over to another train, but Coach B, H and L are our unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them.
Check before you travel:
You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.
Compensation:
You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
