Description
The Met Office are advising that heatwave conditions are forecast for parts of England and Wales with temperatures expected to remain high until at least Saturday 27 June.
The hot weather is set to be widespread over England and Wales, and highs of up to 38°C are possible in some areas. An amber weather warning has been issued for extreme heat covering parts of England and Wales from Monday 22 to Thursday 25 June.
The following routes are impacted:
Check train services running using the Transport for Wales Live Map.
Between Coryton and Penarth (from start of service Monday 22 June until the end of the day on Saturday 27 June)
Services will be revised to run between Coryton and Heath Low Level only. Customers requiring travel between Heath Low Level and Penarth should travel the short distance to Heath High Level to complete their journey from there.
Between 05:00 and 20:00 on the affected days, you can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following Cardiff Bus routes:
21, 23, 24, 25, 27, 86 and 92
Between Pontypridd and Cardiff Bay (from the start of service Monday 22 June until the end of the day on Saturday 27 June)
Direct services between Pontypridd and Cardiff Bay will be cancelled. You should use alternative train services, changing at Cardiff Queen Street to complete your journey.
Pay As You Go
If you're using Pay As You Go, don't forget to tap out if you abandon your journey or use an alternative service or mode of transport. Unfortunately, Pay As You Go cannot be used on local bus operators. You are advised to tap out at the earliest opportunity.

Please carry water with you - you can find water refill stations at all Network Rail managed stations and some other larger stations.
