Description

Storm Amy is expected to bring very strong winds and heavy rain with the potential for widespread disruption to Transport for Wales services until the end of the day, Saturday 4 October.

Yellow weather warnings have been issued by the Met Office.

Network Rail’s specialist weather team are closely monitoring the storm’s path and working with operators to confirm which routes are most likely to be impacted.

Customer advice:

Trains on the route between Manchester Piccadilly / Manchester Airport and North Wales are currently disrupted due to the forecasted severe weather. Trains may be cancelled, delayed or revised until the end of the day.

Trains that normally run between Manchester Piccadilly / Manchester Airport and North Wales are being revised to run between Warrington Bank Quay and North Wales only.

Your ticket can be used on the following alternative routes to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost:

These arrangements are in place on services until further notice.
