Description
The Met Office have issued yellow weather warnings with Storm Chandra bringing heavy rain for south west England and parts of Wales today.
There are also yellow weather warnings in place for rain, snow and wind across England and Wales throughout the day.
As a result, trains across the network may be cancelled, delayed, revised or suspended.
No trains between Shrewsbury and Carmarthen:
A tree blocking the railway at Llanbister Road means all lines are blocked. Trains running between Shrewsbury and Carmarthen will be cancelled.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
A limited road transport will run between Swansea and Shrewsbury provided by Lakeside Coaches, AC Jenkins and Gower.
Between Hereford and Newport (South Wales)
Flooding between Hereford and Newport (South Wales) means the line is blocked. This is expected until 12:30.
Tickets will be accepted on the following routes at no extra cost:
Great Western Railway between Cardiff Central and Bristol Parkway
CrossCountry between Cardiff Central / Bristol Parkway and Manchester Piccadilly via Birmingham New Street
West Midlands Railway between Hereford and Birmingham New Street
Stagecoach South Wales on route X24 between Newport and Pontypool via Cwmbran
Stagecoach South Wales on route 21 and X3 between Pontypool and Cwmbran
Replacement buses have been requested. We will provide further information once more is known.
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.
Between Crewe and Shrewsbury
Some lines have now reopened following a tree blocking the railway between Crewe and Shrewsbury. However, trains running between these stations will be cancelled or delayed by up to 40 minutes. This is expected until 13:00.
Tickets will be accepted on the following routes at no extra cost:
CrossCountry between Wolverhampton and Crewe
West Midlands Railway between Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton
Transport for Wales between Shrewsbury and Crewe via Chester
Replacement buses have been requested. We will provide further information once more is known.

Network Rail are aware and staff are currently enroute to the affected area to remove the obstruction.
Between Carmarthen and Clarbeston Road
Following a tree on the line earlier today, there are now a signalling issue in the area between Carmarthen and Clarbeston Road means trains are unable to run between these stations. This is expected until 16:00.
Limited rail replacement will be provided by Evans, Glyns, Coracle and Cymru. You can use your rail ticket for the bus at no extra cost. However, you may wish to travel later today, once the disruption has cleared and trains are running to their normal schedule.
