Description
A speed restriction has been imposed over a defective track between Tonbridge and Redhill. This weekend, Southeastern services between Hastings and London Bridge are scheduled to operate on this diversionary route as engineering work is taking place.
Until further notice, those services that were scheduled to run on this diversionary route will instead now be revised run between Hastings and Tonbridge only. From Tonbridge, customers can board alternative connecting trains to London Victoria.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day on Sunday 11 October.
What has happened?
Hastings to London Bridge services are being heavily delayed because of ongoing speed restrictions between Hastings and Tonbridge / Tonbridge and London Bridge.
Trains are being delayed by up to 45 minutes.
In order to provide a better more robust service, the decision has been taken to run services from Hastings to and from Tonbridge only until further notice.
The speed restrictions will still be in place tomorrow, but the situation will be reviewed and passengers will be updated with more information enabling you to complete your journeys.
How does this affect my journey?
Trains from Hastings will not run past Tonbridge.
What should I do?
Trains will terminate at Tonbridge and connections to London Victoria are available from here.
It is recommended that you alight at Tonbridge and catch a train to London Victoria, where you can then use your ticket at no extra cost between London Terminals on the London Underground.
