Description

Lines have now reopened following a broken down train between Totton and Ashurst New Forest. However, whilst service recovers, trains running between Southampton Central and Brockenhurst may be delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 15:00.

South Western Railway customer advice:

After engineers attended the incident, rectified the fault and rescued the broken down train, all lines have now reopened and trains are running between these stations.

Until further notice the following alterations will apply:

Train services between Weymouth, Bournemouth, Southampton Central and London Waterloo are subject to delay and short notice alteration in order to minimise disruption so please plan your journey where possible.

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on CrossCountry services between Southampton Central and Bournemouth. Please note these services are also disrupted.
