Description

Heavy rain has flooded the railway in various locations across the Transport for Wales network.

Additionally, a landslip has been reported between Ffairfach and Llandybie which has closed all lines between Llandrindod and Swansea. As a result of this you are advised not to travel between these stations today.

The following routes are disrupted:

Do not travel: no trains between Llandrindod and Swansea until the end of the day

Flooding at Pontarddulais and a landslip between Ffairfach and Llandybie means that all lines are currently closed. Trains running between Shrewsbury and Swansea will be cancelled or revised to run between Shrewsbury and Llandrindod only.

Transport for Wales are unable to source any rail replacement services. Passengers are advised not to travel on the Heart of Wales line between between Llandrindod and Swansea.

Disruption between Carmarthen and Pembroke Dock expected until the end of the day

Due to heavy rainfall yesterday and continuing overnight into to this morning, there are no trains running between Carmarthen and Pembroke Dock. All services have been cancelled until the end of the day. Transport for Wales have organised buses to run between Carmarthen and Pembroke Dock.
