Description

The emergency services have now completed their work dealing with an incident between University and Birmingham New Street, allowing all lines to reopen.

As service recovers, trains running between these stations may still be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 40 minutes.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

CrossCountry customer advice:

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost up to two hours before or after your cancelled train.

If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost

Unfortunately, any seat reservations will not be carried over to another train, but Coach B, H and L are our unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them.

West Midlands Railway customer advice:

There will be rail replacement transport running between:

  • Worcester stations to Longbridge

  • Birmingham New Street to Lichfield Trent Valley

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on National Express West Midlands between Longbridge and Four Oaks via Birmingham New Street.
