Description

The fault with the signalling system between Salford Central and Wigan Wallgate has been rectified allowing lines to be reopened. As a result, trains may still be delayed, revised or diverted via Bolton.

Disruption is expected until 10:00.

Customer advice:

Northern services between Manchester Victoria and Wigan Wallgate via Bolton are not affected.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
