Description

The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Watford Junction and London Euston. So that they can safely carry out their work, all lines are closed.

As a result, trains operating between these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 120 minutes.

Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Avanti West Coast customer advice:

Your ticket can be used, at no extra cost, on the following:

  • Chiltern Railways services between Birmingham Moor Street and London Marylebone via High Wycombe in both directions

  • CrossCountry services between Birmingham New Street and Manchester Piccadilly / Reading in both directions

  • East Midlands Railway services Sheffield and London St Pancras International in both directions

  • Great Western Railway services between Oxford and London Paddington via Reading in both directions

  • LNER services between Edinburgh and London Kings Cross in both directions

  • Northern services between Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield in both directions

  • TransPennine Express services between Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield in both directions

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

London Northwestern Railway customer advice:

There will be bus replacement services between Wellingborough and Northampton, Milton Keynes Central and Bedford / Watford Junction, and also between Watford Junction and London Euston.

Tickets will be accepted on the following train operators, at no extra cost, via any reasonable route:

  • Avanti West Coast

  • Chiltern Railway

  • East Midlands Railway

  • Thameslink

London Overground customer advice:

Bushey will not be served.

Your ticket can be used, at no extra cost, on the following:

  • London Buses via any reasonable route

  • London Northwestern Railway services between Watford Junction and London Euston in both directions

Southern customer advice:

If you are travelling between Watford Junction and Shepherds Bush you will need to travel on an alternative route and allow an extra 30 minutes to complete your journey.

Trains will be terminated and restarted at Shepherds Bush. Please check station screens and planners for the latest information, and leave at least an extra 30 minutes for your journey.

  • London Underground services on any reasonable route

  • London Buses between Watford Junction and Shepherds Bush
