Major disruption: no trains between Shenfield and Southend Victoria expected until further notice

Between London Liverpool Street and Southend Victoria, and also between Wickford and Southminster

Description

There is a problem currently under investigation between Wickford and Southend Victoria. This has closed all lines running between these stations.

As a result, Greater Anglia trains running between London Liverpool Street and Southend Victoria will be cancelled in full. You can use alternative services to travel between London Liverpool Street and Shenfield. You are advised not to travel between Shenfield and Southend Victoria as services are unable to run.

Please note, the Southminster branch line is also affected by this issue, and services are currently unable to run between Wickford and Southminster.

Major disruption is expected to continue until further notice.

Ticket restrictions for today have been lifted, and tickets dated for today (Friday 14 August) will be valid for travel tomorrow (Saturday 15 August) at no extra cost.

If you have already started your journey, please speak to a member of staff or use a help point for assistance on completing your journey.

You can use your ticket, at no extra cost, on the following services:

• c2c services between London Liverpool Street / London Fenchurch Street, West Ham and Southend Central

• London Underground services as follows:

  • Circle line between London Liverpool Street and Tower Hill (for London Fenchurch Street)

  • Jubilee line between Stratford (London) and West Ham

  • Liberty line between Romford and Upminster, for c2c connections

Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled.
