Description

A points failure at Crewe means some lines are blocked. Trains running between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly may be cancelled, revised or diverted via Warrington Bank Quay.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

Tickets will be accepted at no extra cost on the following routes until 21:30:

  • Avanti West Coast between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly

  • Northern services between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly

If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.
