Between Oxenholme Lake District and Windermere
Description
Heavy rain is flooding the area between Staveley and Windermere, blocking lines between these stations. As a result, trains that run between Oxenholme Lake District and Windermere will run between Oxenholme Lake District and Staveley only.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Network Rail engineers are en route to the area to try and rectify the issue.
Customer advice:
To assist you with your journey, road transport (in the form of 16 seater minibuses, provided by RSZ and Premier Minibuses) has been provided between Oxenholme and Windermere in both directions as follows:
20:00, 21:00 and 22:00 Windermere to Oxenholme calling at Staveley, Burneside, Kendal and Oxenholme
20:45, 21:45 and 22:45 Oxenholme to Windermere calling at Kendal, Burneside, Staveley and Windermere
23:00 Windermere to Preston calling at Staveley, Burneside, Kendal, Oxenholme, Lancaster and Preston
Journey times will be extended by up to an hour whilst travelling by rail replacement transport.

Windermere to Oxenholme / Manchester Airport - Services will start at Staveley
