Description

A points failure at Winsford means that trains have to run at a reduced speed on all lines between Crewe and Runcorn / Warrington Bank Quay. As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 12:00.

Avanti West Coast customer advice:

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on TransPennine Express services between Preston and Glasgow Central in both directions until further notice.

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

London Northwestern Railway customer advice:

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on rail replacement between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street in both directions until further notice.

You can also use your ticket on Avanti West Coast services between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street in both directions until further notice.
