Description

All lines have now reopened following an earlier failure of the electricity supply between Crewe and Runcorn / Warrington Bank Quay. Trains running between these stations may continue to be cancelled, severely delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.

London Northwestern Railway customer advice:

Rail replacement transport will operate between Crewe and Liverpool South Parkway from approximately 21:30.

You may use your ticket on Merseyrail services between Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool Lime Street at no extra cost.
