Description
The Met Office are advising that temperatures today are expected to be above average for the time of year.
The temperatures forecast vary across England, Scotland and Wales but many areas across the West Midlands Railway network will see consistent highs over 25°C, with the possibility of temperatures surpassing 30°C.
The warmer weather is expected to continue until later on this week. You are advised to please check your entire journey before you travel.
The forecast weather may cause trains to be disrupted. Heat can cause overhead lines to expand and sag, line-side fires and also rails to buckle.
Check before you travel:
You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.

Due to expected high temperatures, there will be a reduced timetable on the Chase Line (services to / from Rugeley Trent Valley). There will be 1 train per hour until approximately 20:00.
Rail replacement transport is operating between Rugeley Trent Valley and Hednesford.
