Description

A fault with the signalling system at Worcestershire Parkway means that CrossCountry trains will be unable to run between Worcestershire Parkway and Birmingham New Street from approximately 17:30. Trains will be revised instead to start / terminate at Birmingham New Street.

Disruption is expected until 20:00.

CrossCountry customer advice:

If your CrossCountry train is cancelled, you may use your ticket on CrossCountry services operating two hours before or two hours after your cancelled service.

Alternatively, you may use your ticket on the following services and suggested routes at no extra cost:

  • CrossCountry services between Reading and Birmingham New Street

  • Great Western Railway services between Plymouth / Bristol Temple Meads and Reading

  • Great Western Railway services between Reading and Worcester Shrub Hill / Worcester Foregate Street via Worcestershire Parkway

  • Transport for Wales between Newport (South Wales) and Crewe

  • West Midlands Railway services between Hereford and Birmingham New Street via Worcester Foregate Street

  • West Midlands Railway services between Worcester Shrub Hill / Worcester Foregate Street and Birmingham Moor Street

  • West Midlands Railway between Birmingham New Street and Shrewsbury

You do not need to amend your ticket to use it on these services

If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.

Any seat reservations will not be carried over to another train, but Coach B, H and L are unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them.
