Description

The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Brighton and Worthing. Whilst they carry out their work, all lines between these stations are closed. Trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of service.

Customer advice:

Services are currently unable to run between Brighton and Worthing. This includes services which run via Preston Park. Southern are unable to provide an estimate for when lines will reopen.

Your ticket will be accepted on the below at no additional cost:

  • Alternative Southern and Thameslink services

  • Stagecoach 700 and N700 between Brighton, Hove, Worthing, and West Durrington

Replacement buses are running through the affected area, as a result of pre-planned engineering works, between Brighton, Worthing, and Littlehampton, stopping at stations along the route. You can use these to complete your journey.

Trains are currently unable to run while the emergency services deal with an incident between Brighton and Worthing. Southern are working closely with emergency responders, Network Rail, and local staff, to resume train running as soon as it is safe to do so.
