Description

A broken down train between Doncaster and York means all southbound lines are blocked. As a result, trains may be delayed by up to 90 minutes, revised or diverted.

Major disruption is expected until 17:00.

CrossCountry customer advice:

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following services:

  • The two CrossCountry services operating before and after your cancelled service

  • LNER between Doncaster and Leeds

  • Northern services between Doncaster and Leeds

  • TransPennine Express services between Leeds and Edinburgh

If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost

Unfortunately, any seat reservations will not be carried over to another train, but Coach B, H and L are our unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them. You can view the formation of CrossCountry trains.

LNER customer advice:

LNER have rail replacement buses in operation between Doncaster and York. Please speak to a member of staff for more information.

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following services:

  • CrossCountry between York, Newcastle and Edinburgh

  • Northern between Doncaster and Leeds, Leeds and York, and Newcastle to Morpeth

  • TransPennine Express between Manchester, Leeds, York, Newcastle and Edinburgh

  • ScotRail between Edinburgh and Aberdeen

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on alternative train services, up to 2 hours before or after the cancelled service or on either of the two LNER services before or after this train, whichever is most appropriate to help you to complete your journey. You do not need to buy a new ticket.

Tickets for travel today, Saturday 21 February can be used up to and including Sunday 22 February.
