Engineering work is taking place between Stalybridge and Huddersfield from 22:20 on Saturday 23 until 08:15 on Sunday 24 June, closing some lines.

As a result of this, the following trains will be amended:


  • The 22:24 Hull to Manchester Piccadilly service will not call at stations between Huddersfield and Stalybridge. A replacement coach will run between Huddersfield and Manchester Piccadilly, calling at Slaithwaite, Marsden, Greenfield, Mossley and Stalybridge


  • Trains between Manchester Airport and York may run up to 23 minutes later than normal
  • The 06:27 and 07:27 Manchester Airport to Newcastle services will not run  
  • The 07:14 Manchester Piccadilly to Leeds service will not run
  • Some trains will not call at stations between Stalybridge and Huddersfield. Where this is the case, buses will run between Manchester Airport / Manchester Piccadilly and Huddersfield
