Engineering work is taking place overnight between Castle Cary and Taunton, closing all lines.

From Monday to Thursday inclusive, the 21:03 London Paddington to Plymouth service will be diverted via an alternative route. The train will call at all the usual stations, EXCEPT Castle Cary. Due to the diversion, the train may call up to 35 minutes later than normal at stations from Taunton onwards.

If you are travelling to Castle Cary, please change at Westbury for a road transport connection. If you are travelling from Castle Cary, a bus will depart earlier at 22:30 to connect with the diverted train at Taunton.

For information, the train will change direction at Westbury, so customers in forward facing seats will then be travelling backwards and vice versa.
