Engineering work is taking place between between Stockport and Macclesfield, closing all lines.


Trains will be diverted between Stockport and Stafford via, but not calling at, Crewe.

Replacement buses will run between Stockport and Stoke-on-Trent calling at Macclesfield and between Macclesfield and Stafford calling at Stoke-on-Trent.


Buses will replace trains between Stockport and Stoke-on-Trent.

Customers should use alternative trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport.

Virgin Trains

Trains will be diverted between Stockport and Stafford via, and calling additionally at, Wilmslow and Crewe.

Customers should use CrossCountry or Northern replacement buses between Stockport and Stafford for Macclesfield and Stoke-on-Trent.
