Between London Paddington and Swansea / Carmarthen / Pembroke Dock and between Cardiff Central and Taunton

Engineering work is taking place between Newport and Pontyclun, closing some lines.

Trains will be diverted via but not calling at Ninian Park. 

Trains from Cardiff Central to Swansea / Carmarthen / Pembroke Dock will have journeys times slightly extended after leaving Cardiff Central.

Trains from Pembroke Dock / Carmarthen / Swansea to Cardiff Central will depart their starting point 5 minutes earlier than normal, then resume normal timings from Cardiff Central onwards.

Until approximately 20:00, trains between Cardiff Central and Taunton will be replaced by buses between Cardiff Central and Newport 

The following alterations will also apply;

  • 05:59 / 06:59 Swansea to London Paddington trains will start from Bristol Parkway. You should use other trains between Swansea and Bristol Parkway to complete your journey.
  • 07:35 / 08:40 Weston-super-Mare to Cardiff Central are replaced by buses between Newport and Cardiff Central
  • 22:00 London Paddington to Cardiff Central is replaced by a bus between Bristol Parkway and Cardiff Central.
