All Valley Line routes through Cardiff Central

Engineering work is taking place in the Cardiff Central area, closing some lines.

As a result of this, passengers wishing to travel between Valley Line stations and Barry / Penarth will be required to change to a different train at Cardiff Central on to their destination.

The following alterations will also apply:

  • All Rhymney to Cardiff Bay services will start / terminate at Heath High Level.
  • Additional rail replacement bus services will operate between Cardiff Central and Radyr throughout the day.
  • Additional rail replacement bus services will also operate between Cardiff Central and Caerphilly.
  • A rail replacement bus service will operate instead of the 23:16 service between Cardiff Central and Ystrad Mynach.
