Great Western Railway

Engineering work is taking place overnight between Reading and Bedwyn / Blackwater, closing various lines.

Monday to Thursday

The 21:55 Newbury to Bedwyn will be replaced by earlier road transport at 21:50 from Newbury to Kintbury, Hungerford and Bedwyn. This bus also connects at Newbury out of 21:03 London Paddington to Plymouth.

Then after this time: Trains between London Paddington / Reading and Newbury / Bedwyn will not operate between Reading and Newbury / Bedwyn.

Road transport will operate between Reading and Newbury / Bedwyn.

The 23:18 Gatwick Airport to Reading will terminate at Guildford. A bus will be provided from Guildford, calling at North Camp, Blackwater, Wokingham and Reading.

Tuesday to Friday

The 00:06 Bedwyn to London Paddington will not run. Earlier bus at 23:35 (Mon - Thu) from Bedwyn to Hungerford, Kintbury, Newbury, Thatcham and Reading. Rail connection will operate from Reading to London Paddington.

The 00:18 Reading to Newbury will not run and will be replaced by road transport at 00:20 from Reading setting down only at all stations to Newbury.

The 04:31 Reading to Gatwick Airport will start from Guildford. Earlier road transport at 04:15 from Reading (fast) to Guildford to connect into the train, also a bus at 04:31 from Reading, Wokingham, Blackwater and North Camp to Guildford.There will also be a bus at 04:40 from North Camp, direct to Guildford to connect with the train.
