Changes to train times


Manchester Christmas Market 2019

Fri 8 November - Sat 22nd December

Deansgate station will be closed every Friday and Saturday in November and December after 18:00 to prevent congestion at the station. This is due to the Manchester’s popular, award-winning Christmas Markets 2019 in the area.

You can also use Manchester's tram service the Metrolink. The nearest tram stops are;

The Metroshuttle is a free shuttle bus service that you can use to get around Manchester city centre which operate three different routes, depending on where you want to go. 


What's happening with the trains?

Trains will not call at Deansgate station, as it will be closed. If you are planning to travel to / from Deansgate you are advised to use alternative Manchester stations.

East Midlands Railway, Northern, Transport for Wales and TransPennine Express services will still run through Deansgate station as normal, but will not stop there to let passengers on or off.
