Changes to train times

 

City Poppy Day 2019

 

30 October - 8 November 2019

This year, National Rail will again be offering complimentary train travel to Poppy Day volunteers/collectors travelling to one of the City Poppy Day Appeal cities to collect funds on behalf of the Royal British Legion. 

As in previous years, the City Poppy Day Appeals will be taking place over a number of days in late October and early November, in cities across Britain.  

Complimentary Travel

The rail industry has agreed to offer one standard class Return journey (or equivalent) between any 'Home' station in Great Britain and one of the listed cities, to any authorised volunteer/collector on the dates set out below. 

Complimentary travel has been agreed to cover the day itself, plus one day either side of the relevant City Poppy Day Appeal event specified, as per the information below, to allow collectors/volunteers to arrive before the events begin.

Volunteers And Attendees Identification

Collectors and volunteers must be carrying a form of ID to be able to use the complimentary travel. Please speak with station staff at your local ticket office to be able to complete this.
