Buses replace late night trains between Oxford and Worcester Shrub Hill from Monday 27 to Friday 31 January

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Ascott-under-Wychwood and Moreton-in-Marsh on Monday and Tuesday night and between Evesham and Worcester Shrub Hill on Wednesday and Thursday night. During these works all lines between Oxford and Worcester Shrub Hill will be closed.

Monday & Tuesday:

The 21:50 London Paddington to Worcester Shrub Hill will additionally call at Didcot Parkway, after which the train will be diverted via Swindon and Cheltenham Spa (not calling) to Worcester Shrub Hill. The train will not call at stations between Didcot Parkway and Worcestershire Parkway. A rail connection from Didcot Parkway at 22:42 can be used for customers to Oxford. A replacement bus will run from Oxford to Worcester Shrub Hill, calling at Hanborough, Charlbury, Shipton, Kingham, Moreton-in-Marsh, Honeybourne, Evesham and Pershore.

The 22:00 Hereford to London Paddington will terminate Worcester Shrub Hill. A bus will run from Worcester Shrub Hill (fast) to Oxford for onward rail connection to London Paddington. There will also be a bus from Worcester Shrub Hill to Pershore, Evesham, Honeybourne, Moreton-in-Marsh, Kingham, Charlbury and Hanborough. This bus continues to Oxford. However there will be no immediate onward connections from Oxford towards London Paddington from this bus.

The 22:50 London Paddington to Worcestershire Parkway will terminate Oxford. There is no alternative transport between Oxford and Worcester. Please use an alternative service.

Wednesday & Thursday:

The 21:50 London Paddington to Worcester Shrub Hill will additionally call at Didcot Parkway, after which the train will be diverted via Swindon and Cheltenham Spa (not calling) to Worcester Shrub Hill. The train will not call at stations between Didcot Parkway and Worcestershire Parkway. A rail connection from Didcot Parkway at 22:42 can be used for customers to Oxford. A replacement bus will run from Oxford to Worcester Shrub Hill, calling at Hanborough, Charlbury, Shipton, Kingham, Moreton-in-Marsh, Honeybourne, Evesham and Pershore.

The 22:00 Hereford to London Paddington will terminate Worcester Shrub Hill. There will be a direct bus from Worcester Shrub Hill to Oxford for onward rail connection to London Paddington. There will also be a bus from Worcester Shrub Hill to Pershore, Evesham, Honeybourne, Moreton-in-Marsh, Kingham, Charlbury and Hanborough. This bus continues to Oxford, however there will be no immediate onward connections from Oxford towards London Paddington from this bus.

The 22:50 London Paddington to Worcestershire Parkway will terminate Moreton-in-Marsh. A bus will run from Moreton-in-Marsh to Honeybourne, Evesham and Pershore.

Friday:

The 22:50 London Paddington to Worcestershire Parkway service will terminate at Evesham. A replacement bus will run from Evesham to Pershore and Worcester Shrub Hill.

Customers should note that the opening of Worcestershire Parkway station has been delayed, and no trains or replacement buses will call at this station.
