Overnight / early morning engineering work is taking place at various locations on the Great Western Railway network, closing various lines.

Monday to Thursday

  • The 21:23 Portsmouth Harbour to Bristol Temple Meads is replaced by a bus between Westbury and Bristol Temple Meads.
  • The 22:30 London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads is diverted between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads and will not call at Chippenham or Bath Spa. A bus will run between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads calling at Chippenham and Bath Spa.
  • The 23:45 Bristol Temple Meads to Frome is replaced by a bus throughout.

Wednesday and Thursday

The following trains will have journey times extended by 5 minutes after leaving Patchway:

  • The 22:48 London Paddington to Swansea
  • The 23:32 London Paddington to Cardiff Central


The 22:41 / 23:34 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway will not call at Pangbourne. Customers should travel via Tilehurst and then replacement buses to / from Pangbourne.
