Changes to train times

London Marathon 2020

Sunday 4 October 2020

The Virgin Money London Marathon, originally planned for Sunday 26 April but postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, will now take place as an elite-only event on Sunday 4 October.

Please do not travel to this event.

The 2020 London Marathon will not feature a mass race and the elite racing will take place within a 'secure biosphere' around St James’s Park in London. The elite-only races will involve 19 laps of a 2.15km route around St James’s Park, with a traditional finish on The Mall.

There will be no spectator access and no public viewing points along the course, but the BBC is planning eight hours of live television coverage of the event so you can still watch the races.
