The Blackpool Illuminations Switch On is the biggest night out of the year in Blackpool. It's the night when the switch is flicked to turn on the world famous Blackpool Illuminations, with performances from Artists yet to be announced..

What's happening with the trains?

Hourly services connect Blackpool South station to East Lancashire, stopping at Preston. Preston has direct services to all major cities including: London Euston, Birmingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
There are also direct services between London Euston and Blackpool North and direct services to Blackpool North from Manchester International Airport, Manchester Piccadilly, Manchester Victoria, Liverpool Lime Street and York.
