Flooding as a result of Storm Dennis is disrupting some routes in Wales.

How is this affecting the train service?

Aberdare - Pontypridd

Trains are unable to run between these stations. Road transport will operate. A timetable can be found here. You may also use your ticket on Stagecoach Buses via any reasonable route.

Merthyr Tydfil - Pontypridd

Trains are unable to run between these stations. Road transport will run between these stations. A timetable can be found here. You may also use your ticket on Stagecoach Buses via any reasonable route.

Treherbert - Pontypridd

The line will remain closed until the end of the day. Road transport will run between these stations. A timetable can be found here. You can use your tickets on Stagecoach buses between Treherbert and Pontypridd.

Ebbw Vale Town - Cardiff Central

Buses are replacing trains between Crosskeys and Ebbw Vale Town. A bus timetable is available here.

Local road conditions in the Llanhileth area mean replacement buses are being diverted extending journey times. Tickets will also be accepted on local Stagecoach Buses.

Rhymney - Cardiff Central

Flooding and a track safety inspection means trains are unable to run between Rhymney and Bargoed. Customers can use Stagecoach Buses to help with journeys.

Newport - Hereford

Trains are unable to run between these stations. Road transport will operate. A timetable can be found here.

Due to local road closures in the Abergavenny area, buses are currently unable to operate between Abergavenny and Cwmbran. Customers travelling between Abergavenny, Pontypool, Cwmbran and Newport should use local Stagecoach S Wales buses. Transport for Wales tickets will be accepted on these services.

Customers travelling between Manchester / Crewe / Shrewsbury - South Wales should use CrossCountry services via Birmingham New Street.

Shrewsbury - Llanelli (Heart of Wales Line)

Very limited road transport is in operation due to local road conditions. Transport for Wales are asking customers to make alternative travel arrangements. A timetable can be found here.

Shrewsbury - Aberystwyth 

No services are able to operate between Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury or between Machynlleth and Pwllheli. Replacement road transport is in operation. A timetable can found here. Buses are currently unable to operate in the Shrewsbury area due to road closures. Buses will operate to / from Wellington instead

Machynlleth - Aberystwyth / Pwllheli (Cambrian Line)

Trains are unable to run between these stations. More details can be found here.

Blaenau Ffestiniog - Llandudno (Conwy Valley Line)
