Let's get back on track.

As the nation works to the 'new normal' and commuters and leisure travellers alike have returned to the railway, Train Operating Companies continue to work hard to offer you a safe and reliable journey.

To help you travel with confidence, please visit our dedicated Coronavirus travel advice page.

Advice on face coverings:

In England -

It is now again compulsory to wear a face covering on board all trains in England, unless you are exempt.

In crowded places, such as station forecourts and platform areas, you are also encouraged to continue to wear a face covering, unless exempt.

If you are travelling on any TfL (Transport for London) service, it is also mandatory to wear a face covering throughout your journey including in stations, unless exempt.

In Scotland and Wales -

You must continue to wear a face covering throughout your journey on trains and in stations, unless exempt, as it remains mandatory.

Check before you travel:

You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.

Where timetables are not yet confirmed, the journey in the Journey Planner will carry a yellow warning triangle, advising the timetable is not yet available. You can also check the National Rail Enquiries Informed Traveller webpage for more details.
