Seat reservations:
From Sunday 12 September, seat reservations are no longer mandatory. If you buy an Advance ticket, you will automatically have a seat reservation allocated; however, off-peak and anytime tickets may not come with these. In these cases, we strongly recommend that customers consult Grand Central's seat availability charts for the date / time you wish to travel and secure a seat reservation in advance. You can reserve a seat by contacting the Grand Central customer relations team on 0345 603 4852 (09.00 - 17.00, Monday - Friday) or via Twitter at @GC_Rail.
Face covering advice:
You are no longer required by law to wear a face covering. However, please respect others and, unless exempt, wear a face covering in crowded spaces throughout your journey.
Please be aware that if you are using TfL (Transport for London) services for any part of your journey, it remains mandatory to wear a face covering (unless exempt).
Check before you travel:
You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.
Please note that some weekend and late night / early morning services may be affected by engineering work.
When planning your journey, please check the latest government advice as restrictions may be in place. You can find more information about this here.
