Avanti West Coast - Timetable and social distancing advice

Description

Avanti West Coast are operating a slightly reduced timetable, in line with current passenger demand and government guidelines. On Monday 7 September further train services were reinstated, taking the overall service to around 90% of the normal levels.

Please continue to follow the latest advice from government and public health officials. If you do travel by National Rail, please consider travelling at quieter times, carry hand sanitiser and follow social distancing guidelines. You must also wear a face covering, unless you are exempt.

What advice and information is available on crowding and social distancing?

To help keep you safe when you travel and to support social distancing, Avanti West Coast have reduced the number of available seats onboard their trains. Therefore, you are strongly advised to book a place on the train prior to travelling.

Bookings can be made up to 5 minutes before the scheduled departure on the Avanti West Coast website and app.

If you are a Season ticket holder, please book your place by emailing seat.reservations@avantiwestcoast.co.uk.

Some stations may also operate with a queuing system to ensure social distancing remains in place during peak times.

Currently, peak travel times are between 09:30 and 14:00, between 16:00 and 18:00 and all day on Friday- you are encouraged to travel outside of these times.

Check before you travel:
Weekday timetables are correct in the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner up to and including Friday 11 December.

If you are travelling at weekends from Saturday 17 October onwards, please check back closer to the time.
