TOC(s) affected
Greater Anglia;Stansted Express;

Greater Anglia and Stansted Express, along with the rest of the rail industry, are working to support efforts to minimise the spread of coronavirus and to keep services running for necessary travel.

Please follow the latest advice from government and public health officials and please continue to keep services clear for those who need them the most.

If it is necessary for you to travel by National Rail, you must wear a face covering (unless you are exempt), try to travel off-peak, keep a 2-metre distance from others, and carry hand sanitiser or wash your hands.

How is this affecting the train service?

Greater Anglia and Stansted Express are operating a reduced timetable to ensure that vital train services for key workers can keep running throughout a prolonged coronavirus outbreak.

The revised timetables for both Greater Anglia and Stansted Express will take affect from 6 July and can be downloaded here.

What advice and information is available on crowding and social distancing?

Social distancing measures will effectively cut the number of customers able to travel on Greater Anglia / Stansted Express trains by up to 90 per cent – so it’s even more important that people take only necessary journeys.

Passengers should always book online where possible and travel at quieter times, and we urge those who must travel to be considerate of other travellers and staff.

Greater Anglia have produced a guide to help you find less busy trains to travel on. You can find the most up to date information by clicking here.
