Description

East Midlands Railway are operating a reduced timetable, in line with currently passenger demand and government guidelines. This includes a further timetable reduction on their regional routes from Monday 25 January.

What advice and information is available on crowding and social distancing?

When planning your journey, please check the latest government advice as restrictions may be in place. You can find more information about this here.

Social distancing measures will significantly reduce the number of customers allowed on East Midlands Railway trains – please check journey planners before you travel and avoid travelling at peak times.

To help customers with maintaining social distancing on the their services, East Midlands Railway have released a Seat Finder tool which shows how crowded trains are across their network. Please click here to visit the Seat Finder page.

There is a one-way system in place at Peterborough: Between 06:00 and 20:00, there is a one-way system in place. To enable easier social distancing, you can enter and exit the station at different points. Please follow the signs or ask a member of staff if you are unsure.

Check before you travel:
You can check your journey up to and including Friday 29 January using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.

The reduced timetable is not yet reflected in Journey Planners from Saturday 30 January. Journey Planners will generally be updated every Thursday to show the correct timetable for the following week.

Please be aware that your journey may be subject to short notice alteration due to current restrictions on travel. Please check your journey again as close as possible to the time of travel.
