Engineering work is taking place between Reading and Bedwyn, closing some lines.


The 21:52 Newbury to Bedwyn will not run and will be replaced by a bus throughout.

The 22:10 Reading to Newbury service will not run, and will be replaced by a bus throughout.


The 22:19 Bedwyn to Newbury will not run. The 22:51 Newbury to London Paddington will start from Reading. A replacement bus will depart Bedwyn at 22.40 to Hungerford, Kintbury and Newbury, then Thatcham and Reading. This connects at Newbury into road transport at 23.29 from Newbury to Reading, calling all stations.

The 23:17 Bedwyn to Reading service will not run. A replacement bus will depart at 23:38.

Reading West 8mins, Theale 18-23mins, Aldermaston 29mins, Midgham 37mins, Thatcham 33-44mins, Newbury Racecourse 54mins, Newbury 40-64mins, Kintbury 60-79mins, Hungerford 70-89mins and Bedwyn 85-104mins.

Buses serve railway stations (forecourt / car park / entrance) except where shown below:
Reading West: Oxford Road opposite McDonalds; Aldermaston: Bath Road bus lay-by;
Midgham: Bath Road Angel public house; Newbury Racecourse: Hanbridge Road adjacent to entrance or Mandarin Court; Kintbury: Level Crossing by Station Road.
