All South Western Railway routes through Wimbledon

Description

Engineering work is taking place at various locations on the South Western Railway network, closing various lines.

All services from / to London Waterloo will run to revised timetables.

Some lines between London Waterloo and Queenstown Road will be closed all day Saturday and in the Wimbledon area all day Sunday for maintenance work.

Platforms 1-10 at London Waterloo will be closed.

Queenstown Road will be closed all weekend. Berrylands will be closed all day Sunday. Passengers should use other nearby stations.

Saturday:

The following services will be altered as shown below and you may need to change trains to complete your journey.

  • London Waterloo to Portsmouth via Eastleigh services will start at Basingstoke.
  • London Waterloo to Salisbury stopping services will start at Basingstoke.
  • London Waterloo to Alton and London Waterloo to Basingstoke stopping services will run combined to Woking where the train will divide. Passengers for Basingstoke should travel in the front part of the train. Passengers for Alton should travel in the rear part of the train.
  • London Waterloo to Dorking services will not run.
  • London Waterloo to Guildford via Epsom services will start at Wimbledon.
  • London Waterloo to Guildford via Cobham services will start at Surbiton.
  • London Waterloo to Hampton Court services will start at Surbiton.
  • London Waterloo to Chessington services will start at Wimbledon.
  • London Waterloo to London Waterloo via Kingston services will only run between Clapham Junction and Kingston via Richmond.
  • London Waterloo to London Waterloo via Hounslow services will not run.

Sunday:

The following services will be altered as shown below and you may need to change trains to complete your journey.

  • Some services between London Waterloo and Exeter will start at Basingstoke.
  • Some services between London Waterloo and Portsmouth via Guildford will start at Woking.
  • An hourly stopping service will run between Woking and Basingstoke, also between Woking and Alton.
  • London Waterloo to Dorking services will not run.
  • London Waterloo to Guildford via Epsom services will start at Epsom.
  • London Waterloo to Guildford via Cobham services will start at Epsom. These services will run via Leatherhead and Effingham Junction.
  • London Waterloo to Chessington services will not run.
  • London Waterloo to London Waterloo via Kingston services will not run.
  • London Waterloo to Shepperton services will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Fulwell via Richmond.
  • The afternoon and evening London Waterloo to Kingston via Hounslow services will not run.
  • London Waterloo to Hampton Court services will not run.
  • London Waterloo to Guildford via Woking stopping services will not run.
  • London Waterloo to Woking via Hounslow and Staines services will not run.
  • Some London Waterloo to Portsmouth via Guildford services will call additionally at Chertsey and Addlestone.

South Western Railway will operate an amended timetable with no train services calling at Wimbledon.

Replacement buses will operate as follows:

  • Clapham Junction and Surbiton
  • Clapham Junction and Effingham Junction
  • Clapham Junction and Hampton Court
  • Clapham Junction and Woking
  • Clapham Junction and Weybridge
  • Clapham Junction and Chessington South
  • Clapham Junction and Epsom
  • Clapham Junction and Twickenham
